Satélite Ulises

Ulises I was an art, science and technology project, developed by the Mexican Space Collective, which consisted of the construction and possible launch into space of an artificial satellite.1 It began in January 2011, under the direction of Juan José Díaz Infante Casasús is designed as a piece of art (a contemporary opera) that would stay in polar orbit around the Earth for 4 months and would transmit its signal by civil / amateur band 433 MHz.2

Ulises I, was assembled in Mexico with circuits of American origin (TubeSat), and the assembly was in charge of the Multimedia Center, the National Center for the Arts and the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE). It was scheduled to launch in 2019.
