Crisálida (Chrysalis) is a four-channel electroacoustic work composed in 2026 for a concert by CEPROMUSIC, the Centre for the Experimentation and Production of Contemporary Music of Mexico's INBAL.
The thirteen-minute piece is built from large organ textures and long reverberations that transform slowly. It was composed in first-order ambisonics and decoded for four loudspeakers in a diamond around the audience (front, sides and rear), so the sound moves around and envelops the hall.
Below is a stereo mix of the four-channel version.
