Urban Megaphones is a sound installation consisting of several mobile megaphones. They reproduce sounds recorded in Mexico City. The megaphones are oriented pointing towards the place where the sound comes from, taking the center of the installation as if it were the base of the city. This project is part of a collection of works that explores sound relationships in the urban environment. The combinatorial of sounds play with the layers and functional relations of sound in the city. In this way, the acoustic result is a sound representation of the behaviors and significant relationships that form the social fabric.
