Sound installation shown at the Yerevan Botanical Garden, Armenia, from 17 November to 1 December 2024, as part of the 16th International Media Art Festival CYFEST: Archive of Feelings. A Journey, organised by CYLAND MediaArtLab.
This version continues the Metaphors for Dead Pianos series, begun in 2009, in which discarded acoustic pianos are brought back to sound with electromechanical devices and electronics. In Yerevan the piano was installed among the plants of the botanical garden. This edition of CYFEST examined the relationship between the intimate realm of emotions and memory and technological change.
